Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Revu (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.
Who we are
Revu is an AI-assisted tool that helps you draft replies to messages. Privacy-related questions can be sent to the contact below.
Information we collect
- Content you submit. Text you provide to generate replies is sent to our servers and, when needed, to AI providers (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) solely to produce suggested replies. Do not submit passwords, financial details, or health information unless you are allowed to do so under your own policies and agreements.
- Client identifier. A stable anonymous identifier may be used for quotas, subscription sync, and app features. It is not used to identify you across unrelated services by name.
- Purchases. In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google and may be managed through RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card number from the app stores.
- Analytics (if enabled). Some app builds may use product analytics (for example Mixpanel) with event names and coarse usage data. Builds can be configured without analytics.
- Technical data. We may collect limited technical information such as IP address, timestamps, and error reports to operate, secure, and improve the service.
How we use information
We use the information above to provide and improve Revu, process purchases, prevent abuse, fix bugs, and understand how the product is used in aggregate. We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
We share data with service providers who help us run the app (hosting, AI inference, billing, analytics when enabled) under appropriate contracts. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar regions)
Where applicable, we rely on performance of a contract (providing the service), legitimate interests (security and product improvement, balanced against your rights), and consent where required (for example certain optional analytics).
International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law. Exact periods depend on the type of data and operational needs. You may request deletion of your information where applicable law gives you that right.
Security
We use industry-standard protections, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) between the app and our API where configured. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage subscriptions in your Apple or Google account settings. To exercise other rights, contact us using the email below.
Children
Revu is not intended for children under the age required in your region (including under 13 in the United States). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in that age group.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date when we do. For material changes, we may provide additional notice in the app or by email where required by law.
